A good Body Posture radiates confidence and pride. The best example is a soldier. Correcting the Posture is part of the basic training for a soldier.
What is Posture:
The way we position our body parts when we sit, stand, walk, or lie down is called Posture.
A good Posture is the correct alignment of our body parts in relation to each other, with minimum or the right amount of tension in the muscles that wrap the body parts.
It is very important to maintain a good Posture at all times because it is the key to a healthy body with minimum tear and wear.
Poor Posture happens mainly because of negligence during childhood, lack of awareness and education. The best time to establish the basic habits of good Posture is childhood. It would stay throughout one’s life if done so.
Benefits of a Good Posture:

- Reduces stress on muscles, avoiding muscular pains

How to maintain good Posture:
You must take care to position your body appropriately when you sit, stand, walk, or lie down.
- Stand straight and tall.
- Walk straight and tall.
- Shoulders back, tummy in, when you stand.
- Ensure good low-and-mid-back support when you sit.
- Don’t slouch.
- Relax your shoulders while sitting.
- Do not sit or stand in the same position for too long.
- Avoid sleeping on your back.
- Choose the right mattress for you to sleep.
Teach your kids the basics of good body posture, and encourage them to practice it. They will be very thankful to you when they grow up to be confident and healthy youth.
