Founded in 1947 by Mr C.A. Antony Chirakkadavu (Trichur), the shop is now managed and run by his son Mr C.A. John. It was under the latter’s leadership that the company achieved greater success and widespread popularity. For this entrepreneurship, Mr C.A. John was given the “Best Businessman of the Year” award by the Jaycees International, in the year 2008.

The Shop has more than 30 varieties in roofing tiles. While most of the items are manufactured in their own three factories in Kerala (Angamaly & Trichur), a few items are imported from elsewhere for their quality and market value. Portugal, Vietnam and Holland are three sources of international import; Gujarat and Andhra Padesh are two national points of import.
