The big-budgeted, widely-publicized, Prithviraj-Indrajit starrer “Tiyaan” has not been able to hit the silver screen on its scheduled release date. It was originally projected as an Eid-release movie, which was later postponed to 29 June. Now, in a Facebook post, Prithviraj revealed that the movie ran into some issues with the Censor Board, and its release date would be announced later.
written by Murali Gopi and directed by Jiyen Krishnakumar (“College Days”, “Kaanchi” director), the movie has a rich star cast that include Murali Gopi, Padmapriya, Shine Tom Chacko, Ananya, Suraj Venjaarammood, Rahul Madhav, Janakiraman, Ravi Singh etc.
Widely shot at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, “Tiyaan” has been making news ever since its announcement. Mumbai, Pune, Badrinath and Nashik are the other major shooting locations of this 20-plus crores Rupees budget movie.
The movie claims to have included shots from the 2015 Maha Kumbh Mela at Nashik. Produced by Haneef Muhammed under the banner of Red Rose Creations, the movie’s cinematographer is Satish Kurup, and its music is by Gopi Sunder.
07 July 2017 could be a probable release date, provided there’s no fresh unforeseen hindrance.
