B. Unnikrishnan – Mohanlal team’s crime thriller “Villain” will release on 28 July 2017.
Previously projected as an Onam release movie, the change in the release date is attributed to business reasons.
This is one of the most awaited movies of Mohanlal in 2017.
Tamil actor Vishal is a surprise inclusion in the star cast of this big-budget movie. Manju Warrier, Hansika Motwani, Srikanth and Raashi Khanna are a few of the others.
“Villain” is completely filmed in 8K resolution, which is an achievement that no other Indian movie can claim, till date. Since there are no 8K resolution cinemas in India as of now, the Indian prints would be down-scaled to 2K and 4K. The international releases will be mostly 8K.
Produced by Rockline Venkatesh, the movie is written and directed by B. Unnikrishnan. “Mr Fraud”, released in 2014, was the last venture of B. Unnikrishnan – Mohanlal team.
